Company Profile

When does Netflix, Inc. (NFLX) report earnings? After the close in 12 of its last 12 reports

Of its last 12 earnings announcements: 12 after the close. Each one comes from the 8-K with item 2.02 that Netflix filed with the SEC, paired with the 10-Q or 10-K for that same quarter: 69 quarters since Jul 23, 2009, and every row links to its filing.

Next date: NFLX does not appear in the announced-earnings calendar this site covers (Oct 21, 2026 to Nov 24, 2026). When the company announces the day it will show up here; until then there is no date, and an estimate of ours would not be one.

The latest, still without a report

  • Oct 20, 2026, Tuesday at 20:01 New York time (after the close). see the 8-K

It is this company's most recent 8-K with item 2.02 and it does not yet have its 10-Q or 10-K behind it, so there is no way to say which quarter it belongs to: it does not enter the figures above or the table, and for the same reason it might not be an earnings announcement at all (some companies use this same item for production figures or monthly sales).

The last 20 quarters, one by one

"Lead": trading sessions between the announcement and the full quarterly report to the SEC (10-Q, or 10-K at fiscal year end). For Netflix, a median of 1 session over the last 12 quarters.

Where each number comes from

From the 8-K with item 2.02 ("Results of Operations and Financial Condition") that Netflix filed on EDGAR, the SEC's public database; only those with their 10-Q or 10-K behind them count, so other 8-Ks with the same item (production figures, monthly sales) stay out. The time is converted to New York time using this specific company's stamp convention (its EDGAR stamp arrives in UTC), and it is not assumed: it is derived from the hours in which EDGAR accepts filings. In 4 of this company's 69 quarters the date comes from the EDGAR acceptance day rather than the 8-K cover box, and those are flagged with an asterisk in the table.

What this data does not know

  • The exact time of the press release: the 8-K reaches EDGAR minutes or hours later, so Netflix's median 20:03 is an upper bound. The session says which one the news landed in, not what minute it was said.
  • Nothing before Jul 23, 2009: it is Netflix's oldest quarter with announcement and report paired in the file.
  • What will happen. Every date on the page already happened. Netflix reporting after the close 69 quarters in a row does not say the next one will be the same.
  • Netflix's identity is its SEC CIK (0001065280), not its symbol: symbols get recycled and renamed.
